At Arlanda Airport, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has taken an ambitious approach to the handling of pharmaceuticals and other sensitive goods. Through careful temperature mapping in terminals, trailers and warehouses, they can now ensure that the products are stored in the right climate - all the way.
The requirements of both the Swedish Medical Products Agency and pharmaceutical companies are strict: all pharmaceutical products must be stored at the right temperatures around the clock.
To ensure unbroken cold chains, precise measurement data is required. Nordtec field technicians calibrated the sensors in the refrigeration units in WFS's trucks and carried out mappings in a trailer and in the terminals.
The mappings provided WFS with valuable new insights and were also an eye-opener for them.
