The testo 862 provides detailed thermal images and features several functions that help the user interpret them. With Fusion, the thermal image can be combined with a visual image, making it easier to identify exactly where in the installation an anomaly is located.
The camera can also automatically identify hotspots and cold spots and calculate temperature differences using Delta T. This makes it easier to quickly get a sense of what stands out during an inspection.
For many types of troubleshooting, simply viewing the temperature distribution isn’t enough. To understand the cause of an anomaly, additional measurement data may be needed.
That’s why the testo 862 can be wirelessly connected to the testo 605i moisture sensor and the testo 770-3 current clamp. This allows thermal images to be supplemented with, for example, moisture and electrical measurements, providing a broader basis for assessment.
The camera also features a function for intelligent analysis of moisture damage risk, which can be useful during building and property inspections, for example.

The thermal images can also be further analyzed and used for reporting in the free testo IRSoft software.
The testo 862 is available in two variants with different IR resolutions. There are also two measurement kits that combine the camera with additional measurement equipment—one for assessing the risk of moisture damage and one for electrical troubleshooting.
This makes it possible to choose a solution based on the type of inspection and troubleshooting for which the camera will be used.
